In the "~/Library/Application Support/iGetter" folder there is a file "History.plist" and when this file gets rather large it slows down the startup time of the application. Mine was 12.7 MB and it added quite a length of time on to the startup. Deleting this file will cause it to launch quickly once again.

It seems that you download a lot of files with iGetter, so you can avoid slow history loading if you set for example to 7 days the "Days to keep items in history" value available at iGetter preferences, General panel.

22051 files and counting ;-) I have actually downloaded a lot more but it seems if the program crashes or the system needs a hard reset all that data is lost

current stats:
Files: 22,051
Size: 450,714.29 MB
Avg Speed: 383.27 KB/sec *
Elapsed: 210 days, 18 hours, 55 minutes

Good sturdy program that does what I need it to do :-)

* am waiting to see this actually move up as my original connection was maxed out around there but I can now download at 1.5 MB/sec
