Hello John,
By default iGetter starts with the 'Watch for clicks in Internet Browsers' option switched on. This function works only for the default defined .zip, .sit, .hqx, .bin, .gz, .tgz file types.
Deleting of 'iGetter plug-in' from the Internet Plug-Ins folder will not restore automatically the previous browser's configuration.
To restore back your browser you need to follow these steps:
1. Open the IE Preferences
2. Go to 'Receiving Files' group->'File Helpers' panel
3. Sort by 'Extension type' by clicking on it and select first element in the table
4. Type on the keyboard 'zip'
5. Look for the iGetter plug-in attached to this file type
6. For the attached file type click 'Change' button
7. For the 'How to handle' pop-up menu choose 'Post-Process with application'.
8. Confirm the changes.
9. Make the steps 4 to 8 for every of these file extensions: sit, hqx, bin, gz, tgz.

In the next version of iGetter 1.5.1 this incompatibility will be solved.

If you want to use iGetter 1.5 without catching clicks in the IE browser you can unstuff the iGetter1_5_OSX.bin and delete the 'iGetter Plugin' placed in the 'Support' folder of iGetter. In this case iGetter will not catch clicks in your browser anymore.

The instructions above was for the version 1.5.

To uninstall iGetter v1.9 you can use the 'Uninstall iGetter' application included in the iGetter folder. It will uninstall all iGetter components (incl. iGetter browser plugin and iGetter contextual menu plugin) and will restore completely the Internet File Helper preferences to their default state. Then you can remove the iGetter folder from the hard disk.

For all versions prior to v1.9 use this browser plug-in uninstaller:

If you want just to remove 'zip' files from the extension list of iGetter go to the iGetter Integration preferences panel and delete the 'zip' extension. Make sure that all browsers are quitted when you set the integration options.
