I have igetter set not to download .pdf files.
However everytime I click on a file online & try to open it in another tab it opens igetter downloads the file.
How do i stop this behaviour?

The reported problem may appear if in the iGetter extensions list (iGetter preferences, Integration panel) there is a pdf extension. By default these file types are: sit, bin, hqx, zip, gz, tgz, dmg.
Then start Safari and open menu Help -> Installed Plug-Ins. Now find the iGetter plugin table and see if there isn't a MIME Type "application/pdf" listed there.

If the problem persists please use our support form and send to us your Safari Installed Plug-Ins page (or Firefox "about:plugins" page) and some URL for testing.

As a last resort, turn off both "Add Contextual menu support for Internet browsers" and "Integrate with Internet browsers" options at iGetter preferences, Integration panel, or remove manually the following files:

<Home folder>/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/iGetter Plugin
<Home folder>/Library/InputManagers/iGetterIMBundle
<Home folder>/Library/Contextual Menu Items/iGetterCMPlugIn
