I am trying to download files with IGetter and although this used to work, now it just downloads the files from the list in a second and just downloads the file names with no content.

any ideas as to why?

The reported problem may occur if the server from which you're downloading requires authentication, has a delayed page or just opens an ad page where the real download is located. To find what causes the problem, select some of the downloaded small files in the iGetter History list. Double click on one of them or use the "Open Containing Folder" command to locate the physical file. If the file has a small size (< 1MB) then try to rename it adding an ".html" extension. Next open it in your browser and see if there is some useful info about the problem. It may be an ad page or error page (that the server is busy, requires a login, etc.).

For some sites cookies are very important. So when you add some download to iGetter through your browser, it will send the proper cookie as well.

If the site requires authentication you should enter your login info in the iGetter preferences, Site Manager (i.e. http://.rapidshare.com/ ).
