Just purchased a copy of iGetter for mac. Whenever I try to download any file, the status always says "Connecting" and the download will never start. It's really annoying...

Vincent,
1. What error appears in the transfer transcript of any connecting/waiting download (look at "Segments" tab panel)?
2. Can you reproduce the problem with any of the Apple downloads listed here: http://support.apple.com/downloads/?
3. Can you download anything with Safari for example?
4. Do you use automatic proxy configuration (via URL) at Mac OS X system preferences -> Network?
5. What kind of Internet connection you use?

Thanks,
iGetter Support

Hello Clive,
It seems there is a problem with your network configuration. Did you install some software that configured your network?

In the meantime, you can try to set first the network interface that goes to Internet at System Preferences -> Network -> Set Service Order (click on the gear icon next to "+ -").

Also, you can try to uncheck the "Test connection status" at iGetter preferences, Connections panel. At last, you may reset iGetter preferences. To do so, quit iGetter, remove the "/Users/<your user>/Library/Preferences/com.presenta.iGetter.plist" file and run iGetter.

Regards,

Removing the file from preferences solved the problem.
Thanks
Clive
