I started a download of Real Player Plus on my Power Book G3 with turtle-speed modem. Everyuthing froze with iGetter ing 73% of the download complete. When I restarted, it still showed 73% complete, but as soon as I clicked "start" it went back to starting from scratch. And in the details box, it says RESUME - YES,
Is this a defective product or am I missing something?

I think you have to stop the download for it to be able to resume. It bookmarks the place you're at so it can resume there later. This is how it was for Interarchy. Am I right?

Hello,
The URLs for downloading from real.com expire after definite time. Which means that if you try to download or resume such URL after its expiration, the server will refuse your request. This can be the first reason for your problem.
The second reason can be the crash that you've explained. If the MacOS crashes in the moment between saving the download queue and saving the info about percent of downloaded data in individual download, the result can be as yours.

To solve the problem find a mirror URL of Real Player Plus, that is not placed in the real.com server. You can do that in iGetter Search Center: http://www.iGetter.net/search/ .
