I can see from the forum Wupload has had problems with igetter in the ast.

I cannot get any valid links to download at all at the moment...do I need to change my settings?

I have set up igetter as suggested previously, any further advice would be great.

TIA,
K

This is the thread about wupload:
http://www.presenta.net/forums/showthread.php3?threadid=1380

We don't know what suggestions you've followed previously, but the last one was to add "http://.wupload.co.uk/" and "https://.wupload.co.uk/" along with your user info in the iGetter preferences, Site Manager.

I have added all the addresses as suggested, yet all the files just disappear as soon as loaded into igetter without downlading.

I have all the other settings ticked as suggested in the other post but cannot get wupload to work with igetter.

Premium account active and can download files via going to links directly without problem.

Thanks for your help.

Files that "disappear" should be in iGetter History list. You can double click on some of the downloaded small files to reveal it in Finder. Then add ".html" at the end of the file name and open it in your browser. See if there is some error: missing file, authorization error, etc.

Most probably you've downloaded an html page where the real download link/button is located.

Also, do you use FlashGot CM commands in Firefox or you add wupload links by some other method?

The link you've posted just opens a web page where you have to click on another link named "Click here for High Speed Download" or wait a timer for not premium users.

We don't have a wupload premium account, so we can't test it right now, but you may try these steps:

1. Install iGetter v2.8.8. It has some bugs fixed about cookies and fixes HTTPS downloading.
2. Enter these sites with your wupload user info in the iGetter Site Manager:

http://.wupload.com/
https://.wupload.com/
http://.wupload.co.uk/
https://.wupload.co.uk/

3. Since you use Chrome, you must set your default browser to Chrome. You can set it at Safari preferences, General Panel -> "Default Web browser".
4. In Chrome, login to wupload.com and check the "Remember me" checkbox. This step may set a cookie, that iGetter will use later.
5. Try to download a wupload link using the iGetter contextual menu command in Chrome.

If the above doesn't work just use Firefox with the FlashGot add-on (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/220/). Again, in Firefox login to wupload.com and check the "Remember me" checkbox. Then click on a link that you want to download and wait the Firefox save dialog to appear. There you can choose FlashGot -> iGetter option. If that works try to add another link to iGetter using the "FlashGot Link" CM command.

I had prviously done everything you suggest but with no success.

wupload used to work with igetter without problem, but not with 2.8.8

I don't know why it won't work now....

You can still download and test v2.8.7 from here: http://fileavenue.com/downloads/iGetter2.8.7_En.dmg

Does Firefox and FlashGot work as explained above?

We can find what causes the problem with Chrome, if we can login to wupload. If some wupload user wants to share his user info with us, he can send it to . We will not share it anyone and will use it only to test iGetter.

Tried every browser available, various igetter versions, all the Wupload settings, varios file sizes, the same thing happens to them all igetter doesn't seem to check the premium settings.
When the download is opened up in a browser it says you have to upgrade to a premium account!
i have been using igetter with various download accounts for years with no problem.
I forwarded my login details to your customer service email, so hopefully you can tell me what i am doing wrong/sort out the problem
Thanks

Hello Phil,
Thank you for the provided info. We tried wupload link which was posted above as well as the one which you've sent to us. We tested iGetter v2.8.8 and Chromium v17 and both downloads completed successfully. Currently, wupload requires only a cookie to download properly. However, UK users seems to be affected by a problem in wupload site, that they can't download wupload.com links. This is because they can enter only the wupload.co.uk site and can't set a cookie for wupload.com domain.

This looks like a problem which wupload should solve. So users that can access www.wupload.com site, should download without a problem wupload.com links, following only steps 3, 4 and 5 posted above (see our post from 11-19-2011 01:02 PM).

A workaround for UK users is to try to replace the "com" part of the wupload links to "co.uk", i.e. http://www.wupload.com/file/... -> http://www.wupload.co.uk/file/...

Redirected URL's

Go to preferences, click on the tab all the way to the right (Advanced)...make sure you check off "Save Redirected URLs" and you should be golden...this should fix the problem...and there's no need to go through any additional steps to download any file from Wupload / Filesonic.

I have a problem with Wupload and iGetter 2.8.8 and Mac OS X Lion. I love iGetter, works great with Rapidshare but absolutely sucks that it doesn't with Wupload.

I copy and paste the links into iGetter and it works great until about 95% and then it just stops!!! It goes from downloading to the "connecting/ waiting". Please help! I have tried Firefox etc. Also iGetter has stopped intercepting my downloads (on Safari) since 2.8.5!

You can set "Minimal segment size" value at iGetter preferences, Acceleration panel, to 50000 KB. Also, you can uncheck "Save Redirected URLs" option at iGetter preferences, Advanced panel. Options will take effect with the next new URL.

Wupload should work with contextual menu commands "Download (selection) with iGetter" in your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari). As of auto interception when you click on a link in Safari, you can read this thread:
