I'm aware of the distinction between adding a download via the contextual menu, which uses session cookies, and the other methods to add downloads that use regular cookies.

It would be very helpful to have the option to use session cookies even for downloads not added via contextual menu.

Is there a work-around for this with the current version of iGetter (even using Applescript or browser plugins?)

If not, can this feature be added reasonably easily in a near-future release?

I use Firefox 9 (without FlashGot).

Thanks!

Hello Marc,
Session cookies are those that expire when you close your browser. They could be extracted only in the context of the process that shows the webpage with download link. Currently browsers are very strict in providing such information to extensions. However, for most sites there is a "Remember me" option at login, that stores a regular cookie which iGetter could use when you paste a URL manually.
