Currently, we're preparing a Mountain Lion compatible version of iGetter and we will release it as soon as possible. Version 2.8.8 should work fine too, but to avoid any problems with Gatekeeper, you've have to allow the first start of iGetter (through contextual menu command "Open"). This is an excerpt from the Apple's site:

If you receive an alert that an app is from an unidentified developer, you can still choose to install it. Control-click the installer or the application icon to reveal a contextual menu. Choose Open and youÂ’ll see a dialog that allows you to install the application.

The forthcoming version of iGetter will be code signed to comply with the new Gatekeeper's security feature.

The next iGetter update is minor, so you will get it free if you register v2.8.8.

From v21 of Chrome or Chromium you may experience a problem with the iGetter plugin (that comes with iGetter v2.8.8), but the current public version of Chrome is 20 and iGetter plugin loads properly. This is already fixed in the next iGetter update.

Generally, there are two possible reasons why Chrome may start a download instead of iGetter. First, file types which iGetter intercepts by default are: "sit, bin, hqx, zip, gz, tgz, dmg" (see iGetter preferences, Integration panel). In other words if you download a media file it will not be send to iGetter.

Second possible reason is that some sites use the "Content-disposition" HTTP entity which Chrome always takes on its own. The workaround is to use Firefox with the FlashGot add-on (
