Hi. Recently downloaded the newest version of iGetter. Two problems I never had with older version. One- "disconnect after download" never works. Two- Set Preference for download never sticks. My downloads will either go to the older version folder on another partition or to my other download folder on that partition. I checked the Prefs and actually found that it was set to a partition with a "download folder" that didn't even exist! All this occurs with my version that I have not paid for yet. Before paying, I want to be sure I have a "working" version.

Hello Carl,
The 'Hang Up when done' and the Default download folder options in iGetter 1.6 work in the same way as in the version 1.5.
1. We need some more information about your computer configuration and software installed as proxy, firewall, other software for dial-up connection, etc. You can send this info to our support email. We need this information to find the reason for the reported hang-up problem.
2. In MacOS system configurations, every hard drive partition and the files on these partitions identify itself with an unique number. iGetter uses these unique numbers to identify the location of its downloads.
So, any changes of your hard drive partitions will cause an unexpected result for the location of every download on your hard drive. To solve this you can delete from the iGetter queue all file downloads without deleting them from your HD (Without checking the 'Delete also local downloaded files' check box). Then using the 'Recover lost download' function in the Tools menu you can insert all uncompleted downloads in the iGetter queue again. Note that all uncompleted iGetter downloads have a specific partial downloaded file icon.
You can call the 'Recover lost download' function automatically if you just double-click on any lost download and then confirm with the 'Add URL' button.
This operation will not make any changes over the downloads. They can be resumed at the point where they are broken.

Regards,
iGetter Support
