Apparently iGetter 2.9.1 does not work with FF17.0. The contextual is there but it doesn't pass the url to igetter (for example when clicking on downloads from www.macupdate.com).

Note, there are no problems with previous FF release, i.e., FF16.0.2.

Thank you for your report. We tested iGetter v2.9.1 and Firefox v17 and indeed the "Download with iGetter" contextual menu command doesn't work. However, "Download selection with iGetter" and "Download all with iGetter" work fine. So a workaround is to select part of the link and use the "Download selection with iGetter" command until we release a new fixed version of iGetter.

Thanks,

Unfortunately those suggestions are not useful to me given that I do most downloads from macupdate by clicking on the file size in their listings or the "Download Now" in the info for an item.

In the meantime I'll continue to use FF16.0.2 but I hope you get this problem fixed sooner rather than later.

However, thanks for confirming the problem and your prompt reply.

Any time estimate when this problem is going to be fixed?

Until we release a fixed version, here are two fast alternatives:
1. Firefox v16.0.2 is still available from here: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/16.0.2/mac/.

2. For Firefox v17, you can install the FlashGot extension
(https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/220/). It provides similar contextual menu commands and supports iGetter.
