There is a rt-click option to Hide Target Icon but no corresponding setting. The darn thing comes back every time iGetter starts. Very annoying. How do I make it go away permanently?

This may happen for example if iGetter can't write into its prefs file "iGetter_Prefs.xml" located at %APPDATA%\iGetter folder. To open that folder, click on the Windows "Start" button, select "Run..." (or hold both the "Windows" and "R" keys on your keyboard) and type in:

%APPDATA%\iGetter

For Target Icon to be hidden option should be "<IconOn>0</IconOn>". You can edit the file and set it manually if you wish, but that means that iGetter doesn't function properly on your machine. Are you using some kind of sandboxing or other methods to start Windows in the same state every time?

Thanks,
iGetter Support
