These are the files created by Safari as the target for a download. I would presume that if i drop one onto iGetter, that it would take over the download to manage with greater control and efficiency. But it does not recognize them.

Should iGetter recognize .download files?

".download" are uncompleted downloads started by Safari. iGetter can't complete such downloads, since it doesn't use intermediate containers for its downloads. You may try to get Safari's download URL and paste it in iGetter.
