I've been using iGetter for some time and have seen this problem repeatedly using iGetter on El Capitan 10.11.2.
When downloading files, iGetter will suddenly stop downloading files from different file hosts and will "wait" indefinitely as the file download never finishes.
It doesn't matter what format the file is in either, i.e., zip, rar, 7zip, etc.
I am able to download files using Firefox, Safari or Opera browsers so I know this is an iGetter issue and not an issue with my default browser (Firefox 43.03).
Are there plans on addressing this issue and when can an update to iGetter be expected? If I was using a freeware app I wouldn't mind so much but I did purchase a license.

Without a download link for testing it's very hard to tell what causes your particular problem. Please, try some of the Apple downloads and see if the problem persists:
http://support.apple.com/downloads/

If a download is broken or waiting then there is some network or login problem with your downloads. To see what causes this state, select some download and look for an error at iGetter Segments tab panel. There should be an error in red color. It may be an authentication error, network error, full HD error, etc.

If your download starts, but can't complete either your download links have expired or servers from which you download apply restriction on the number of connections.

To avoid further problems with URLs that expire:

1. Set "Minimal segment size" value at iGetter preferences, Acceleration panel, to 50 000 KB. This way iGetter will not try to make new connections at least 50 MB from end of the file. Option will take effect with the newly added downloads only.

2. Using your default browser login to the download site (make sure that "Remember me" checkbox is on, if there is such). Don't logout from that site until the download finishes.

3. Always download the file immediately and don't pause it.

If a link expires and a broken/waiting state appears, you can replace the existing URL in iGetter with a fresh link from the same site. To do so, you need to pause that download, open Item Settings dialog (double click on a download) and replace existing URL with a new one.

If the site requires authentication (error 401 or 530) you should enter your login info in the iGetter preferences, Site Manager. Site entry could be one of these (notice the dot before server.com):
http://.server.com/
https://.server.com/
ftp://.server.com/
ftps://.server.com/

You can also limit the number of connections per site (i.e. 8) in Site Manager preferences.

iGetter stops downloading and waits...

Sorry, but it's a problem with iGetter and has nothing to do with links expiring.
I pay for 100mbs service and my speed is usually closer to 190mbs and have seen it top out over 200mbs.
This problem happens with files of all sizes, from a few megs to a gig. Today I was downloading a file from uploaded (764Mb) with iGetter at 12.5mbs when it all of a sudden iGetter stopped and did the waiting thing all over again. This went on for hours.
I immediately tried downloading the file again using firefox at 7.65mbs and fully downloaded the file at a much slower rate, but completely downloaded it.
I then immediately tried to download the file using iGetter once again and it worked, downloading at a rate of 12.7mbs.
But this is the story with iGetter lately regardless of the file hoster...sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. When it doesn't finishing downloading, it's usually when there is a small percentage of the file to download left but I have seen it do this with a few percent of the file downloaded.

If it's "regardless of the file hoster" then please, try the download on the following web page and report the result:

The problem in your case is that either your download links have expired (including your login session) or servers from which you download apply restriction on the number of connections.

Please read the above answer again and then report the following:

1. When you try Firefox, do you login to ul.to site? Every login to ul.to site starts a new login session, which otherwise you may cancel while iGetter still downloads.

2. How do you add download links to iGetter? Drag&drop (or copy&paste) usually works better with filesharing services. Firefox must be set as your default browser.

3. Did you set "Minimal segment size" value at iGetter preferences, Acceleration panel, to 50 000 KB?

4. How many simultaneous downloads with how many segments you have started? Usually file sharing servers limit the the number of connections per IP (i.e. 8-12).

5. What error appears in your iGetter Segments tab panel on a waiting download?
