I want igetter to ALWAYS shut down when there are no more downloads in the queue. I hoed there would be a preference for this but I can't see it.

Can I do this?

Cheers,
Andy

Here is a simple app that turns on iGetter (v2.9.4+) "Shut Down When Done" Tools menu command. App works in background and waits for a system notification that iGetter is started, then it just clicks on the iGetter Tools menu command through an AppleScript. In the next days, I will post the source on github.com.

Here is what you need:

1. Download the dmg and install the app (i.e. in your Applications folder):
https://github.com/fiery-/ShutDone/releases

2. Open System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Items tab. Click on the "+" button and navigate to ShutDone app in your Applications folder. (This step will run the app in the background when you login.)

3. Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy tab > Accessibility. Click on the "+" button and navigate to the ShutDone app. (This step will allow the app to click on the iGetter menu.)

4. Log Out and Login your system. Now when you start iGetter, its "Shut Down When Done" command should be on (after some delay until iGetter enables its Tools menu). You can replace "Shut Down" function with "Sleep" or "Quit iGetter" at iGetter preferences, Advanced Panel.

To remove this app, Open System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Items tab. Click on the "-" button to remove ShutDone app from the Login Items. Then Log Out and Login your system.

Update 06/07/2016: Link updated with the github page
Update 11/17/2016: ShutDone v1.2 is released.

As promised, here is the source code (and v1.0 release) of this app:
https://github.com/fiery-/ShutDone/

In short, this feature has been requested for some time now (see http://www.igetter.net/forums/showthread.php3?threadid=1436). You may use ShutDone app or another solution, until iGetter developers decide if they will save "Shut Down When Done" state.

Alright then Mr Ivanov, looks good to me. I'll build it in XCode and try it out, thanks.
