Compressed files (.sit, .bin, .hqx, etc.) dowloaded with iGetter 1.8 do not decompress as they normally do when downloading with web browsers. I have checked my Internet control panel settings and nothing seems to be awry. Any suggestions?

P.S. Here's some information on my computer:

PowerPC G4/450MHz (Dual Processor)
Mac OS 9.2.2
704 MB RAM
20 GB Hard Drive

Hello Ben,
iGetter uses the integrated in the MacOS File Mapping settings. That means we rely on the Internet Config->Handle by->'Processing with Application' settings for every file extension/MIME type.
The Internet Control panel is an external for IE control panel and configuration of post-processing ought to be made in the Internet Control Panel/Advanced tab/File Mapping settings, not from IE. It seems that changes made in the IE plug-in prefs cause changes in the Internet Control Panel settings without caution.

So, we plan to make an internal for iGetter post-processing function. This feature will appear in the next v1.9 or eventually in the v2.0.
