Why doesn't iGetter care when I change the download destination folder? The files still downloads to the desktop.

Why can't iGetter handle the links on It just starts to download some kind of script document I don't want. And what about Word (.doc) files that one want to download from Hotmail? It doesn't seem to get right.

It would also be nice if the icon in the Dock did something when a download finished. It could show the numbers of downloads that has been finished.

Anyway, thanks for the new version!!!

Hello Martin,
iGetter remembers the last used download folder and shows it in the New URL window. Just choose another download folder when this window appears. If you've switched off the "Open save dialog on new download" in the General preferences, iGetter will use the "Default download folder" path set in the iGetter Other preferences. If you don't set this folder iGetter will set its application folder.

Sometimes download links don't point directly to a download, but to a page for registration. In all cases it's better to wait the iGetter browser plug-in to intercept the download URL, instead of adding directly to iGetter the 'download now' link.

Regarding the .doc files iGetter doesn't include this extension in its Integration preferences. It's possible that Hotmail returns an incorrect MIME type corresponding to a different download extension.

Thank you for your suggestion about the Dock icon we will look for implementing such an idea.
