I try to download Oracle for OS X:

http://download.oracle.com/otn/mac/oracle9i/macosx_920_dev_rel.tar.gz

In the browser (Safari, Camino) I have already logged in, and the site 'knows' who I am.

the transer to iGetter results in oracle requesting login again via a login form.

I've given iGetter my login details, but it fails to download. All I get is the Oracle 404 error page.

Hello Chris,
We tried Oracle9i download and found that the only authorization that their server requires is a cookie with your login information. It seems that there is a problem with sending of Oracle cookies from Safari in iGetter. We will look deeper where the problem is hidden.

Please try with Internet Explorer. In the Transfer details Segments panel you must see a row in the request field like this:

"Cookie: ORA_UCM_VER=..."

Regards,

I don't know what you did differently to me, but I got the same 404 result on IE, as well as Camino.

I downloaded it in the end without a DL manager, so my immediate problem is gone, but it's a bit of a pain of course.
thanks for looking into it.
