I'll wait through March also, if no iGetter 2 I'll start using another download manager.
Sorry, but the current version of iGetter eats too much processing power.

I really don't understand too... I like the program, yes uses a bit of cpu but no word from developers makes me kind of anxious.

Currently we work on v2.0 of iGetter, but there are some difficulties in implementation coming from the user interface classes of Metrowerks CodeWarrior. So we need to rewrite them to work properly on Panther. We can't compromise with a new but bad functional version of iGetter. Thank you for your patience.

Oh thanks, that was the only thing I needed.

Did you get any mail from Omniweb producer? There seems a major but cosmetic problem (in system log) with their Omniweb beta 2. I reported them already.

Don't hesitate to contact me for details.

New features

We are expecting some powerful features that SD2 dont have!
That what are we going to pay for!
I have been waiting for the release of new iGetter v1.9.6 and v2.0 since last july.
Don't forget to contact me for the Simplified Chinese Localization.
I am really looking forward to it.

SD2 is not a bad download manager
but i am not using it for any ftp download
I tried to use SD2 download from various ftp servers, however it really doesn't work.
The download will stucked during download, I have to stop and resume it in order to continue.
iGetter is showing a steady performance overall.

It seems iGetter team will lie just to make a sale...

(I did purchase it, and have been waiting now for 5 months for the *promised* update/fix)

Subject: Before I purchase...

There are still some support issues involved with iGetter and I do not
want to buy it until then.

My question is not a support one, but a sales one however.

It is this: If I purchase the program (which IS an awesome product),
the site says I will get free support and upgrades for version 1.x

Since this is already 1.9.5, this means it is at an end of a version,
and my problems that I have will likely not be solved.

Perhaps look at the licensing model of the Opera browser? People
purchasing 1.9 are eligible for a free upgrade to 2.x only?

Or perhaps just people buying 1.9 now are eligible for a upgrade for a
soon to come 2.x or something...

I'm on the verge of purchasing this product, so let me know...

Hello Marius,
All customers that purchased iGetter since June 1, 2003 will receive a free upgrade to iGetter v2.0. So, if you purchase iGetter now you will be entitled to a free upgrade to v2.x.

I am licensed owner and I also wait for iGetter 2.

It has been officially said that the Codewarrior IDE has some issues hitting iGetter and they wait for update from that company. They don't want to release a buggy product.

Consider this. If a bug hits your browser and it crashes real bad, you just re launch and open the webpage you were viewing.

If a DOWNLOAD manager crashes badly (I mean, real bad), you may lose 4+ hours of download (56k etc). Once you get a name like that, you can NEVER sell your product again.

Remember the ultra buggy Netscape 6, that killed browser. Whatever they did later didn't get attention than Netscape died. IMHO 7.2 was _not_ a bad browser.
