iGetter works great downloading when initiated from web browser integration mode. However, I am trying to use it to do a simple FTP get of some files on a UNIX server that I have an account on and only see "broken" status with no download.

I have the download URL set with server and pathname thusly:
ftp://xyx.abc.edu/home/me/file.name

I have the server path in the Preferences->Log In setting like this:
ftp://xyx.abc.edu/

I can do this with ftp via the terminal or Interarchy, but not with iGetter.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello Louis,
In you use some type of firewall it's possible that it restricts iGetter connection to the Internet. Make sure your that you've configured your firewall properly regarding iGetter. Most often firewalls and proxies stop the FTP connections. So you can set FTP in passive mode. To do so in the Network control panel show the appropriate Internet interface and choose the 'Proxies' tab. Now check the 'Use passive FTP mode (PASV)' option.
