I connect to the internet over a phone line (not broadband/ADSL) via Airport.
Long downloads usually mean that the connection breaks but igetter does not seem to re-connect.
My guess is that it tries to re-connect via the modem port rather than Airport & the former is not connected to anything at all.

Has anyone had experience of this & can confirm that the re-connection is always via the internal modem?
And is there any way of forcing igetter to use Airport instead?

Hello Chris,
iGetter uses the Mac OS X system functions to find out which interface port is up. Because the Airport connection to your base station is up iGetter will not try to reconnect the modem (either internal or external via USB). The situation is similar as if you have an Ethernet connection to the Internet.
