There is a problem in the way iGetter handles network failures during downloads in areas with poor connections such as third world countries.

The problem is that when iGetter senses "no network" (which with some ISPs happens frequently for minutes at a time while the power goes offline at the server end etc), it will immediately fail the download instead of retrying it at a specified interval.

This leads to a long list of broken downloads the next day instead of a list of completed downloads.

sd indeed handles this situation the right way by continually retrying the connection even when the network goes down during a transfer.
This is pretty much the only feature of sd that is better than iGetter at the moment.

Hello Zev,
Some servers wrongly return resolvable errors as unresolvable. For such cases we added the "Treat unresolvable errors as resolvable (reconnect if broken)" option located at the iGetter preferences, Advanced panel. Just check this option and try to download from those servers again.

Yes, I know about that option, and that works if iGetter receives a message from the server, but the problem is that if the network goes completely down then iGetter immediately treats the transfer as broken and does not try again, regardless of this setting.
You can test this yourselves by starting a download and then disconnecting from the network - when IG attempts to resume the DL and sees no network the transfer will fail.
