Hi,

I am replacing this G5 1600 with a quad 2500 as soon as next week. I know iGetter has a real practical, fail safe license system but I just wondered that if there is anything to do before cloning this G5 1600 to Quad and formatting (zero all data,it goes to rebate) it?

what will I do is

Sorry, I better give details.

1) Quad comes, I plug it via firewire 800 cable
2) I run Lacie Silverkeeper freeware to "clone" this G5 1600 to quad Macs drive
3) I format this G5 1600 with "zero all data 7 pass" option as it goes to Apple Turkey. (suggestion to everyone who sells/rebates their macs)

Hello Ilgaz,
You just need to include in your backup your current "<Home folder>/Library/Application Support/iGetter" folder. Then on your new machine use the iGetter function "Activate" (menu Help/Register/Activate tab panel) and iGetter must run as registered again.

Thanks

Yes, it worked perfectly and activated. I also didn't clone my system as I had some rare problems so thank you for iGetter since I had to download 50 programs again.

I don't know how I would manage to do it without iGetter :)
