Hi I'm currently using Safari 4 and Firefox as browsers. My problem is iGetter won't recognise / integrate with Safari 4... It seems browser integration won't work at all with Safari 4. I have tried it with and other sites but it just proceeds to download using the built-in Safari download tool but not iGetter. This problem in Firefox is solved using Flashgot plug-in but please guide me how to solve it in Safari. Thanks.

Currently, Safari 4 for Windows loads the installed plug-ins available in Firefox. You can see if the iGetter plug-in is loaded in Safari if you select menu Help -> "Installed Plug-Ins" command. "iGetter Plug-in" should be listed several times there.

Since uses complicated method to start the download it never reaches the registered plug-ins and this is why FlashGot appears in Firefox and the default downloader in Safari. However, you can cancel the Safari download and then drag and drop or copy and paste the available alternative ("click here") link at page. For example the download page of iGetter shows this:
Thank you for downloading iGetter

Your download will begin in a moment. If it doesn't, click here to try again.

"Download with iGetter"/"Download all with iGetter" option not available

I use Firefox and Safari on my PC (Firefox set as default)

I installed iGetter and everything works fine on firefox, with the command options available.

But the command options don't show on Safari (v4.0.5). I can only drag the link and drop in iGetter to get the download in iGetter, but this is cumbersome as I need two windows open and worse still if I have alot to download from the page (unlike having the "Download all..." option available)

Please advise how can I get those iGetter command options available on Safari? I use Firefox while my partner uses the Safari

Hello Norman,
The contextual menu commands "Download (all) with iGetter" are currently available only in Internet Explorer and Firefox. Safari supports browser plug-ins which allow a clicked link to be send automatically to iGetter. But currently, the politic of Apple is to close their browser for third party extensions. So in the near future there is no chance for us to add these commands to Safari for Windows.

However, you can try the Safari's "Copy Link" contextual menu command which can automatically send the copied URL to iGetter. Note that you should start iGetter first as well as turn on the "Monitor clipboard" Tools menu function. Clipboard monitoring works only for the files which extensions are listed in iGetter options, Integration panel.

You can also process a web page by the iGetter "Process web page" Tools menu function. It is similar to the "Download all with iGetter" command.
