Hello Al,
Firefox v5 release notes list one added feature for CSS animations and several improvements and fixes. This sounds like a minor update after v4.0.1, but in fact Mozilla team now require that with each new "major" update all binary add-ons should be recompiled. This is not a big problem if we only supported Firefox v5, but now we have to develop an add-on that supports all Firefox versions since v3.

Currently, we're working on Safari 5.1 support. However, until we release a new version that supports Firefox v5, you can just install the FlashGot add-on ( With this add-on you will be able to choose iGetter on the Firefox save dialog as well as use several contextual menu commands that work with iGetter. The corresponding commands are:
"Download with iGetter" -> "FlashGot Link"
"Download all with iGetter" -> "FlashGot All"
"Download selection with iGetter" -> "FlashGot Selection"

Look at this thread if for some reason FlashGot doesn't work properly:

Firefox 5

Surely if Firefox 5 is an extremely minor update, you could easily update the plug-in and provide it to users?

That would be one piece of work for Presenta to do rather than requiring every single user who gets auto-updated to Firefox 5 to configure Flashgot.

I agree that Mozilla's change in strategy is quite annoying from a plugin compatibility perspective, but I doubt they're going to change it now, so developers are going to have to get used to updating extensions frequently...
