Hello Zev,
As we wrote in some previous posts the specific of iGetter integration with the browsers is related to the MIME type that the servers return for each download. There is another problem with movie and audio files that QuickTime or Media Player plug-in may use the same extension. So, we don't recommend inclusion of video and audio extensions in the iGetter preferences.

Now, if you really want iGetter to intercept "wmv" downloads, first you must disable Media Player plug-in. Then test the download. If iGetter doesn't catch the download you need to make a little investigation about this "wmv" download. (This is one time operation.) So, start the download in iGetter (you need to get its URL from the browser). Open the Transfer Details panel -> "Segments" tab and choose the first segment. Start the download and see the response of the server. If it's HTTP download it must include "Content-type:<some MIME type that you need below>" field.
Start Internet Explorer (even if you don't use it) and open its preferences. Now, open Receiving Files Group triangle and select File Helpers panel. Look for "wmv" extension and see if the specific MIME type is here. If not, push the Add button and write the following info:

Description: Windows Media Video
Extension: .wmv
MIME type: Probably -> video/x-ms-wmv
Application: Browse->Windows Media Player
Encoding: Binary
How to handle: View with plug-in
Plug-in name: iGetter plugin

Now iGetter must intercept wmv files with this MIME type.
